Finally a day of site seeing with Paul!

Paul finally had some time off so we went siteseeing. We decided to go to Kannai Yokohama. We went back by were the Silk Museum was. We first visited the Osanbashi Pier Yokohama and the International Passenger Terminal. It was just as impressive the second time! What a neat pier I think it looks like a boat and there is so many different use areas. When we got there a Wedding was taken pictures in the front. The Bride was beautiful but the two attendants were in lovely kimonos.
We than walked over to the Yokohama Achieves of History to look at the Harris and Yokohama exhibit. It was the place where the treaty was signed with America to open up the ports in Japan to foreign trade. It followed the overseas and foreign settlement influence on Yokohama which included the missionaries that came. The church I saw yesterday was established in the late 1850’s.
We than walked down to the Yokohama Park to enjoy the weather. My heavens there were a lot of people. The rose garden was in full bloom and there were so many people there to enjoy it. All week long there have been men everywhere. I think there were 80% women out today. Everyone was dressed differently and so many dogs and children both in strollers and all dressed up.
We left the park and walked over to China Town. I thought there were a lot of people at the park. I had no idea! There were people everywhere! And the noise! Everyone is shouting and hawking their food or what ever they are selling. Plus there was music. There is always music everywhere. All the people and all the noise! There was food everywhere too! We bought two sweet buns one lemon and the other coconut they both were very good! I love the way everything has be wrapped just so. Each in their own little bag then put into another bag with handle and then taped at the top. It takes five minutes to get your bag.
We walked back to the train station and there was even more people! We went to Yokohama station and bought some food for lunch and ate outside watching all the people. I couldn’t believe it but there was more people there than at the other places. The trains where crowded and the streets were full. We walked around the city for awhile and headed back to the hotel. We are resting now and will go out to eat later in the evening. Paul is taking a well need nap! Tomorrow we are taking the train to Kamakura. There are 10 more temple there I have not seen and I am sure Paul will want to see the large Buddha too.
I really enjoyed having Paul with me today. It was nice to have someone to talk to about the great things we were seeing. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
